Meshkin est l'une des régions de tissage de tapis villageois d'Iran. En raison de sa proximité avec le Caucase, les motifs de ses tapis sont généralement enracinés dans les créations caucasiennes.
Ce tapis de couloir Meshkin, cependant, peut être considéré comme un exemple rare tissé avec des motifs turkmènes. Localement, ce type de tapis est parfois appelé tarh-e ghalat, ce qui signifie un « motif non conventionnel » ou un motif qui va à l'encontre de la tradition locale habituelle. Dans ce cas, ce choix inhabituel ajoute une couche supplémentaire d'intérêt et de distinction au tapis.
Ce tapis de couloir est tissé avec de la laine locale filée à la main sur une fondation en coton, avec des chaînes et des trames en coton. Il est fabriqué avec le nœud symétrique, une structure à double trame et un tissage semi-déprimé. Cette construction confère au tapis à la fois durabilité et bonne stabilité sur différentes surfaces.
Le motif du champ de ce tapis de couloir est inspiré du motif turkmène Göl Ayneh (Ayneh Gul) et est agencé en un motif répétitif. En y regardant de plus près, cependant, on peut toujours voir l'harmonie des couleurs qui appartient à la tradition de tissage de Meshkin. Contrairement aux tapis turkmènes, où l'indigo-marine profond et le rouge vif sont généralement dominants, ce tapis de couloir utilise un fond noir, avec des tons rouge garance et blanc cassé dans les motifs. Ces couleurs confèrent au tapis un sens distinctif de profondeur tout en confirmant la présence de la propre tradition de tissage de Meshkin. D'une certaine manière, le tisserand de Meshkin a localisé le motif turkmène avec son talent personnel, son goût et son ingéniosité.
Le champ est encadré par trois rangées de bordures simples. Grâce à leur harmonie de couleurs et à l'absence de motifs à grande échelle, ces bordures sont conçues pour ne pas éclipser le champ principal, permettant à l'attention du spectateur de rester concentrée sur le motif central de ce tapis perse du nord-ouest.

Returns
We accept returns up to 7 days after delivery if the item is unused and in its original condition. We will refund the full order amount for the item(s), but the customer is responsible for return shipping costs.
Care Instructions
Vacuuming
Regular vacuuming keeps your rug looking its best and extends its lifespan, reducing the need for professional cleaning. For best results, vacuum both the front and back sides of the rug from side to side, avoiding the fringes.
Spills
If spills occur, blot them immediately with a cloth. Then spray water on the spot and blot again, repeating as needed. For pet urine, spray white vinegar to help break down the enzymes that cause odor.
Professional Rug Cleaning
It’s generally recommended to have your rug professionally cleaned every five years, but trust your instincts—if it appears to need cleaning, don’t hesitate to have it washed. Hand-knotted carpets should never be dry cleaned or steam cleaned. Wall-to-wall carpet cleaning companies are usually not a good option.
