Noué à la main à Hamadan, ouest de la Perse, vers 1980
Laine teinte aux pigments végétaux sur fond de coton, 194 × 330 cm (6’ 4” × 10’ 10”)

La première chose que vous remarquerez est le champ : un rouge grenade chaleureux qui luit comme de l'argile cuite au soleil. Encadrant un petit médaillon en forme de losange, des gerbes de fleurs couleur cobalt et bleu sarcelle, des feuilles de sauge et de délicates vrilles blanc cassé montent en une composition de vase de fleurs épanoui, une interprétation classique du village de Boyukabad du style Sarouk plus célèbre. Sur les bords, le motif floral s'adoucit en écoinçons d'angle incurvés ivoire, puis se transforme à nouveau en une bordure principale bleu nuit profond, remplie de rosettes et de vignes. L'abrash subtil dans les rouges et les bleus témoigne des petits lots de teintures naturelles et de quarante ans d'usure douce.

Le velours est de moyen à court, donnant à la surface un toucher doux et velouté sans masquer les contours nets de chaque motif. Une chaîne en coton ferme maintient le tapis à plat, parfait pour les pièces très fréquentées.

Returns

We accept returns up to 7 days after delivery if the item is unused and in its original condition. We will refund the full order amount for the item(s), but the customer is responsible for return shipping costs.

Care Instructions

Vacuuming

Regular vacuuming keeps your rug looking its best and extends its lifespan, reducing the need for professional cleaning. For best results, vacuum both the front and back sides of the rug from side to side, avoiding the fringes.

Spills

If spills occur, blot them immediately with a cloth. Then spray water on the spot and blot again, repeating as needed. For pet urine, spray white vinegar to help break down the enzymes that cause odor.

Professional Rug Cleaning

It’s generally recommended to have your rug professionally cleaned every five years, but trust your instincts—if it appears to need cleaning, don’t hesitate to have it washed. Hand-knotted carpets should never be dry cleaned or steam cleaned. Wall-to-wall carpet cleaning companies are usually not a good option.
