- Noué à la main dans l'ouest de la Perse, fin du 20e siècle
- Velours en laine teintée de pigments végétaux sur fond de coton, 166 × 291 cm (5’ 5” × 9’ 7”)
Imaginez le crépuscule des montagnes traduit en laine. Un champ brun/noir moka est strié de terre de Sienne brûlée et de rouge brique, souligné par un indigo nuit et rafraîchi par des touches d'ivoire antique et de bleu plus clair. L'abrash naturel, ces doux changements de tons provenant de petites séries de teinture, confère à la surface un éclat délicatement moiré.
La composition est centrée sur un médaillon géométrique audacieux en forme de bouclier, typique du tissage de Nahavand. Son diamant dentelé ivoire et ses bras rouges étagés sont flanqués d'oiseaux stylisés, de botehs et de minuscules formes de maisons qui évoquent la vie villageoise dans les contreforts des Zagros. Autour de lui, des fleurs angulaires, des arbres géométriques et des feuilles en corne de bélier remplissent le champ. Une large bordure principale rouge cinabre, flanquée de deux liserés à rosettes, verrouille l'ensemble du motif.
Le velours est moyen mais dense, posé sur une chaîne de coton solide qui maintient le tapis à plat. Nettoyé professionnellement et en excellent état, le tapis est prêt pour un usage quotidien.

Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) in North America
For Canada and the USA, no duties or import fees will apply at delivery (effective August 2025).
Returns
We accept returns up to 7 days after delivery if the item is unused and in its original condition. We will refund the full order amount for the item(s), but the customer is responsible for return shipping costs.

Vacuuming
Regular vacuuming keeps your rug looking its best and extends its lifespan, reducing the need for professional cleaning. For best results, vacuum both the front and back sides of the rug from side to side, avoiding the fringes.
Spills
If spills occur, blot them immediately with a cloth. Then spray water on the spot and blot again, repeating as needed. For pet urine, spray white vinegar to help break down the enzymes that cause odor.
Professional Rug Cleaning
It’s generally recommended to have your rug professionally cleaned every five years, but trust your instincts—if it appears to need cleaning, don’t hesitate to have it washed. Hand-knotted carpets should never be dry cleaned or steam cleaned. Wall-to-wall carpet cleaning companies are usually not a good option. Always choose a professional rug cleaner who specializes in cleaning fine, handwoven carpets. If you’re in the GTA, we can provide professional rug cleaning for you!
