Roodbar (Rudbar, Roudbar) est un petit village de la province de Gilan, dans le nord de l'Iran. Il est situé juste au sud de Rasht. Roodbar produit une petite quantité de tapis persans faits à la main. Bien que le Roodbar soit un tapis de style tribal fabriqué dans la région subtropicale du nord, sa qualité est très élevée et bien supérieure à celle des tapis fabriqués dans d'autres régions du nord de l'Iran. Roodbar fabrique généralement des motifs géométriques et les motifs floraux sont rarement réalisés. La plupart des tapis Roodbar se composent de compartiments octogonaux disposés de manière uniforme. Des éléments de vase, un motif de tapis persan très ancien, sont également représentés dans la plupart des tapis de ce petit village. Les habitants de Roodbar et de ses environs sont principalement des Turco-Persans semi-nomades et/ou des Kurdes. Ce sont eux qui tissent ces tapis d'une manière très primitive et simple. Les couleurs d'un tapis Roodbar peuvent être une combinaison de rouges, de taupe et de nombreuses nuances de bleu. Un Roodbar authentique est un excellent moyen d'ajouter de la chaleur et de l'hospitalité tribales à votre intérieur.

Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) in North America
For Canada and the USA, no duties or import fees will apply at delivery (effective August 2025).
Returns
We accept returns up to 7 days after delivery if the item is unused and in its original condition. We will refund the full order amount for the item(s), but the customer is responsible for return shipping costs.
Care Instructions
Vacuuming
Regular vacuuming keeps your rug looking its best and extends its lifespan, reducing the need for professional cleaning. For best results, vacuum both the front and back sides of the rug from side to side, avoiding the fringes.
Spills
If spills occur, blot them immediately with a cloth. Then spray water on the spot and blot again, repeating as needed. For pet urine, spray white vinegar to help break down the enzymes that cause odor.
Professional Rug Cleaning
It’s generally recommended to have your rug professionally cleaned every five years, but trust your instincts—if it appears to need cleaning, don’t hesitate to have it washed. Hand-knotted carpets should never be dry cleaned or steam cleaned. Wall-to-wall carpet cleaning companies are usually not a good option. Always choose a professional rug cleaner who specializes in cleaning fine, handwoven carpets. If you’re in the GTA, we can provide professional rug cleaning for you!
