Joshaghan, also written Joshaqan or Joshagan, is a historic weaving center in central Iran. Rugs sold under the name often use compact floral forms arranged with a geometric rhythm, sometimes around a central medallion. Because spelling and market attribution vary, construction and design should be considered together.
Browse the currently available Joshaghan pieces below. Our illustrated Persian rug types guide places Joshaghan beside Kashan, Isfahan and other central Iranian traditions. The main Persian rug collection contains the full cross-regional selection.
