Joshaghan, also written Joshaqan or Joshagan, is a historic weaving center in central Iran. Rugs sold under the name often use compact floral forms arranged with a geometric rhythm, sometimes around a central medallion. Because spelling and market attribution vary, construction and design should be considered together.
