Here are the six steps in our rug cleaning process:
- Pre-inspect: We identify the rug’s fiber, check if the dyes are colorfast, determine the rug type, and document any pre-existing conditions.
- Dust Removal: Before wet cleaning, we safely remove as much dust and grit from the rug as possible.
- Wash or Surface Clean: Depending on the situation, we decide whether to fully wash the rug or opt for surface cleaning using methods like hot water extraction. Whenever feasible, wool rugs undergo a thorough wash. Spotting, deodorization, and fringe cleaning are performed as needed.
- Extraction: We extract as much water as possible from the rug to expedite drying and minimize the risk of dye bleeding during the final drying stages.
- Drying: We facilitate quick drying of the rug’s face fibers, foundation fibers, and fringe tassels.
- Finishing Touches: Proper grooming of the face fibers and fringe tassels ensures the rug is ready for delivery.
