Les tapis de Kashan proviennent de Kashan, une ville oasis du centre de l'Iran, le long du désert du Kavir. C'est l'une des plus anciennes villes d'Iran, avec des fouilles archéologiques dans les collines de Sialk indiquant que des humains préhistoriques y ont vécu. Kashan avait une industrie de tapis de soie bien établie dès le XVIIe siècle. Les tapis de Kashan sont toujours tissés selon les traditions séculaires des anciens maîtres, en utilisant les mêmes motifs de base. Les tapis de Kashan étaient autrefois très convoités par les rois et pouvaient être trouvés sur les murs des palais du monde entier. En conséquence, il est également appelé "le tapis de palais".
Les tapis de Kashan sont tissés à l'aide de nœuds persans extrêmement denses, produisant un objet d'art exquis.

For Canada and the USA, no duties or import fees will apply at delivery (effective August 2025).
Returns
We accept returns up to 7 days after delivery if the item is unused and in its original condition. We will refund the full order amount for the item(s), but the customer is responsible for return shipping costs.
Care Instructions
Vacuuming
Regular vacuuming keeps your rug looking its best and extends its lifespan, reducing the need for professional cleaning. For best results, vacuum both the front and back sides of the rug from side to side, avoiding the fringes.
Spills
If spills occur, blot them immediately with a cloth. Then spray water on the spot and blot again, repeating as needed. For pet urine, spray white vinegar to help break down the enzymes that cause odor.
Professional Rug Cleaning
It’s generally recommended to have your rug professionally cleaned every five years, but trust your instincts—if it appears to need cleaning, don’t hesitate to have it washed. Hand-knotted carpets should never be dry cleaned or steam cleaned. Wall-to-wall carpet cleaning companies are usually not a good option. Always choose a professional rug cleaner who specializes in cleaning fine, handwoven carpets. If you’re in the GTA, we can provide professional rug cleaning for you!
