Une véritable œuvre d'art des Afshar de Sirjan.

Au fil du temps, la tribu Afshar s'est répandue dans différentes régions d'Iran. Ce qui est particulièrement fascinant, c'est que, qu'ils soient tissés en Azerbaïdjan au nord-ouest ou dans la province de Kerman au sud-est du plateau iranien, les tapis Afshar ont toujours conservé une qualité de tissage exceptionnelle. En même temps, la distance de près de 1 500 kilomètres entre ces régions a naturellement conduit à des différences de motifs et de couleurs au cours des siècles.

Dans les tapis Afshar d'Azerbaïdjan, on voit plus souvent des lignes géométriques plus nettes. Dans la région de Sirjan, l'un des centres les plus importants du tissage Afshar, les motifs et le tissage ont tendance à avoir un caractère plus doux. Ce que ces tapis partagent à travers les régions, cependant, c'est un savoir-faire magistral.

Les fleurs de ce tapis sont connues en Iran sous le nom de Gol Farang, ce qui signifie Fleur européenne/française. Ce nom fait référence à des motifs floraux que les tisserands ont adaptés à partir d'images et de motifs qui étaient entrés en Iran il y a de nombreuses années sous l'influence européenne.

Au total, ce tapis se lit comme un récit historique sous forme tissée : laine filée à la main, teintures végétales, tissage habile, et finalement, un tapis qui est incontestablement une œuvre d'art.

Returns

We accept returns up to 7 days after delivery if the item is unused and in its original condition. We will refund the full order amount for the item(s), but the customer is responsible for return shipping costs.

Care Instructions

Vacuuming

Regular vacuuming keeps your rug looking its best and extends its lifespan, reducing the need for professional cleaning. For best results, vacuum both the front and back sides of the rug from side to side, avoiding the fringes.

Spills

If spills occur, blot them immediately with a cloth. Then spray water on the spot and blot again, repeating as needed. For pet urine, spray white vinegar to help break down the enzymes that cause odor.

Professional Rug Cleaning

It’s generally recommended to have your rug professionally cleaned every five years, but trust your instincts—if it appears to need cleaning, don’t hesitate to have it washed. Hand-knotted carpets should never be dry cleaned or steam cleaned. Wall-to-wall carpet cleaning companies are usually not a good option.
