Au cœur de ce tapis se trouve un motif audacieux de médaillon géométrique qui attire immédiatement le regard. Placé sur un champ bleu nuit profond, le médaillon central est un hexagone à multiples facettes avec des bords étagés en forme de crochet, coloré d'un bleu ciel contrastant et souligné de dentelures rouge cramoisi.
Des pendentifs de médaillon plus petits en forme de losange s'étendent de son haut et de son bas, créant l'arrangement classique de Viss d'un médaillon principal avec deux plus petits fleurons. De part et d'autre du centre, vous remarquerez des motifs angulaires en forme de crochet et des ornements tribaux dentelés de couleur rouge tomate s'étendant vers les côtés du champ – ces formes géométriques nettes sont une caractéristique des tapis Viss. Les quatre coins du champ dissimulent de minuscules figures animales stylisées – traditionnellement, les tisserands Viss incluent de petits bouquetins ou béliers dans chaque coin en clin d'œil au folklore tribal. Ces motifs subtils des coins sont une marque de fabrique attachante des tapis du village de Vist, censés symboliser la force et l'abondance dans la culture nomade des tisserands.
Tissés en nombre limité par les tisserands de village, les tapis de Viss sont très recherchés pour leur art tribal distinctif. Bien qu'il ait environ 70 ans, le tapis est en excellent état – un témoignage de l'artisanat exceptionnel et de la laine dense de haute qualité qui peut durer des générations.

Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) in North America
For Canada and the USA, no duties or import fees will apply at delivery (effective August 2025).
Returns
We accept returns up to 7 days after delivery if the item is unused and in its original condition. We will refund the full order amount for the item(s), but the customer is responsible for return shipping costs.
Care Instructions
Vacuuming
Regular vacuuming keeps your rug looking its best and extends its lifespan, reducing the need for professional cleaning. For best results, vacuum both the front and back sides of the rug from side to side, avoiding the fringes.
Spills
If spills occur, blot them immediately with a cloth. Then spray water on the spot and blot again, repeating as needed. For pet urine, spray white vinegar to help break down the enzymes that cause odor.
Professional Rug Cleaning
It’s generally recommended to have your rug professionally cleaned every five years, but trust your instincts—if it appears to need cleaning, don’t hesitate to have it washed. Hand-knotted carpets should never be dry cleaned or steam cleaned. Wall-to-wall carpet cleaning companies are usually not a good option. Always choose a professional rug cleaner who specializes in cleaning fine, handwoven carpets. If you’re in the GTA, we can provide professional rug cleaning for you!
