A 6x8 label is a shopping range, not a promise that every rug measures exactly six by eight feet. Handmade pieces can vary from nominal sizes, so use the width and length printed on each product page. The available selection changes as one-of-a-kind pieces sell. Current product labels include Persian Hamadan and Shiraz rugs, but collection membership does not establish one shared pattern, material, construction or age.
Plan the Furniture Footprint
Mark the listed dimensions on the floor before choosing a rug. In a seating area, decide whether the front legs of the main pieces will reach the rug without narrowing a walking path. For a dining or breakfast space, include the distance needed to pull chairs back while keeping them supported. In a bedroom, compare the exposed border on both sides and at the foot of the bed. Check doors, vents and floor transitions in every layout.
Proportion matters as much as total area. A rug closer to six feet wide creates a different relationship with furniture than a narrower piece placed in the same room. Confirm orientation before assuming the long side should follow the room's longest wall.
Compare Nearby Sizes and Regional Labels
Use each product record for exact dimensions, fibre, construction, origin, condition and disclosed repairs. Browse 5x7 rugs for a smaller footprint or 6x9 rugs when more length may help. Compare Hamadan rugs with Shiraz rugs for separate regional routes. Greater Toronto Area customers can request Rug N' Roll to try selected rugs in their own space.
