Abadeh Rugs

Abadeh rugs come from a town on the route between Isfahan and Shiraz. Their designs often combine an orderly village structure with motifs associated with the weaving traditions of Fars, including geometric medallions, small animals and stylized plants. Most examples are wool pile on a cotton foundation.
