Creating Our Signature Patina

We take that natural patina one step further with a carefully controlled antique wash: a low‑pH mineral bath followed by prolonged sun‑drying and delicate shearing that lifts just the tips of the pile. This careful approach gently shifts the palette toward parchment, foggy teal, and clay‑rose tones, preserving the subtle ghost of the original design. (While heavy caustic washes do exist, our method remains intentionally mild, specifically to preserve wool strength and ensure the longevity of these handmade rugs.)
