Garden Panel Rugs for Sale

Shop Kheshti and Garden-Panel Rugs

A kheshti design divides the field into repeated compartments. Individual panels may contain trees, flowers, vases, birds, animals, boteh forms or other motifs, so the full surface can suggest a garden assembled from many smaller plots. The design is strongly represented in Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari weaving, but a garden-panel label is not proof of one origin, maker, period or construction.

Compare the Panels as a Complete Composition

Look at how the grid organizes colour and movement. Some rugs repeat closely related plants or trees, while others vary the subject from panel to panel. Borders may reinforce the geometry or create a separate frame around the garden. Motifs can be observed directly, but symbolic interpretations should be treated as contextual readings rather than fixed meanings shared by every weaver and viewer.

The available collection changes as one-of-a-kind pieces sell and may include rugs catalogued under more than one regional tradition. Use each product page for exact dimensions and the available evidence about origin, fibre, pile or flatweave construction, age, condition and repairs. Pattern similarity alone should not override those rug-specific records.
