SPECS

This Zanjan rug features two nested medallions at its centre. The colours move from light in the middle to deeper tones toward the edges, emphasizing the brightness of the central field. Around the border, floral motifs are repeated in a single scale but in many different colours, while within the field the same flowers appear in varying sizes, adding rhythm and movement.

Although it is full of pattern and detail, the rug still feels beautifully balanced and proportionate.

Care Instructions

Vacuuming

Regular vacuuming keeps your rug looking its best and extends its lifespan, reducing the need for professional cleaning. For best results, vacuum both the front and back sides of the rug from side to side, avoiding the fringes.

Spills

If spills occur, blot them immediately with a cloth. Then spray water on the spot and blot again, repeating as needed. For pet urine, spray white vinegar to help break down the enzymes that cause odor.

Professional Rug Cleaning

It’s generally recommended to have your rug professionally cleaned every five years, but trust your instincts—if it appears to need cleaning, don’t hesitate to have it washed. Hand-knotted carpets should never be dry cleaned or steam cleaned. Wall-to-wall carpet cleaning companies are usually not a good option. Always choose a professional rug cleaner who specializes in cleaning fine, handwoven carpets. If you’re in the GTA, we can provide professional rug cleaning for you!
