Moud rugs are carpets from Mud, a town in eastern Iran. They have complex designs that curve and twist, often with a big shape in the middle. People make Moud rugs by hand with wool and cotton. They tie many knots to make detailed patterns. The rugs from Mood usually have a Herati pattern, with or without a centrally placed medallion.
