Zanjan pieces are famous for their fearless colour and crisp geometry, and this one is a textbook charmer. A bold rust‑red hexagon—its saw‑tooth edge picked out in ivory—floats on a ground of dark blue that is so dark it reads black in evening light. Inside the medallion, stacked diamonds and arrow‑head blossoms alternate in indigo, cornflower, and apricot.
The field is alive with small rosettes, abstract tulips, and double‑hook leaves, all pointing toward the centre as if caught in a gentle whirl. In the narrow guard border you’ll even spot tiny four‑legged creatures marching in single file.
With a supple 10 mm pile, the rug feels luxuriously thick underfoot—ideal beside a bed, anchoring a writing desk, or warming the landing at the top of a staircase. Pair it with brass accents or weathered oak and watch the colours smoulder.
