Fine Meymeh Rug with Indigo Medallion
A refined village weave with a soft, sun-kissed palette and beautifully disciplined drawing.
This Meymeh has that balance I always love in a fine village rug: crisp geometry, delicate spacing, and a palette that feels gentle rather than loud.
The field reads as a warm salmon-coral with a soft peachy cast, mellowed by age and light in the nicest way. At the center sits a deep indigo diamond medallion, sharply stepped and filled with small floral forms, which gives the whole composition a strong visual anchor without overwhelming the field. Around it, the surface is scattered with tidy rosettes, flowering sprigs, stylized plant forms, and small geometric devices that feel almost like a floral lattice broken into individual motifs. The navy main border frames everything beautifully, while touches of powder blue, sky blue, ivory, taupe, and muted brown keep the drawing lively and refined.
What makes this rug especially appealing is its clarity. Meymeh rugs often have a neat, orderly elegance, and this one really shows that quality. The knotting is fine, so the motifs read with precision, and the sun-kissed field gives it a softened, decorative warmth that makes it easy to place.
At 6x9ish ft it works beautifully in a living room, sitting room, home office, or bedroom, especially under a coffee table or at the foot of a bed. It would also look lovely in a dining space where you want something with character but not too much visual weight.
If you are drawn to Persian rugs that feel detailed, luminous, and quietly sophisticated, this is a very easy piece to live with.

Please Consider
Our rugs are truly unique and crafted with care. Their vintage and handmade nature means they may have imperfections and signs of wear, which add character. Each rug is handmade, so it may not be a perfect rectangle.
We strive to capture the rugs’ true colors in daylight photography, but they might appear slightly different in low-light environments or on different screen settings.
We’re happy to provide photos taken in different lighting or answer any questions.

Care Instructions
Vacuuming
Regular vacuuming keeps your rug looking its best and extends its lifespan, reducing the need for professional cleaning. For best results, vacuum both the front and back sides of the rug from side to side, avoiding the fringes.
Spills
If spills occur, blot them immediately with a cloth. Then spray water on the spot and blot again, repeating as needed. For pet urine, spray white vinegar to help break down the enzymes that cause odor.
Professional Rug Cleaning
It’s generally recommended to have your rug professionally cleaned every five years, but trust your instincts—if it appears to need cleaning, don’t hesitate to have it washed. Hand-knotted carpets should never be dry cleaned or steam cleaned. Wall-to-wall carpet cleaning companies are usually not a good option. Always choose a professional rug cleaner who specializes in cleaning fine, handwoven carpets. If you’re in the GTA, we can provide professional rug cleaning for you!
