This Tabriz rug is a beautiful surprise from the city’s master designers. The floral motifs seem to move in a cascading rhythm around the field, with bold shifts between warm terracotta, soft camel, leafy greens, and deep blues. It is a confident, almost painterly use of colour that feels both traditional and adventurous at the same time.
The wide main border is unusually expressive, with large, star-like palmettes and scrolling vines that frame the rug in a very distinctive way.
In the centre, the lozenge medallion is filled with blossoms that echo the “waterfall” of flowers around it, while the innermost centre glows like a small sun at the heart of the composition.
The result is a richly detailed Tabriz that brings movement, warmth, and elegance to any room.
