If you’ve been hunting for a statement corridor piece, this Hamadan runner is the real deal. Five nested octagonal medallions march down a field of mellow terra‑cotta abrash that fades gently into weathered chestnut—proof of decades of sunlight and honest wear. Each medallion is ringed with tiny ivory latch‑hooks and filled with stylised willow motifs in sage, slate‑grey, and brick.

The border is pure village storytelling: angular motifs, lozenges, and shy little flowers, all drawn in a soft mineral‑green that feels almost Art‑Deco against the red ground. Despite its generous length, the runner is only 7 mm thick, so doors glide over it and vacuuming is a breeze.

Vacuuming

Regular vacuuming keeps your rug looking its best and extends its lifespan, reducing the need for professional cleaning. For best results, vacuum both the front and back sides of the rug from side to side, avoiding the fringes.

Spills

If spills occur, blot them immediately with a cloth. Then spray water on the spot and blot again, repeating as needed. For pet urine, spray white vinegar to help break down the enzymes that cause odor.

Professional Rug Cleaning

It’s generally recommended to have your rug professionally cleaned every five years, but trust your instincts—if it appears to need cleaning, don’t hesitate to have it washed. Hand-knotted carpets should never be dry cleaned or steam cleaned. Wall-to-wall carpet cleaning companies are usually not a good option.
